Meghan Markle moved to London less than three months ago from Toronto, but already, Vanity Fair is reporting she has made a new basically-best friend there: Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham. Really! A friend of Beckham’s says so, adding that Markle goes to Beckham, a fashion designer, for style advice.

“They get along well and have been in touch recently,” the source told Vanity Fair. “Meghan really likes Victoria’s style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe. She loves Victoria’s elegant but smart dresses, so expect her to wear one very soon.”

Beckham is very, very happy about their closeness. “Victoria’s quite proud of the fact that she and Meghan have become chummy and seems to want people to know they are friends,” the source continued. “Of course, if Meghan wears one of her outfits it will be great for business.”

Beckham has reportedly introduced Markle to her friends, recommended Markle to her facialist Sarah Chapman (and got Markle ahead of a 6-month waitlist to see her—perks!) and also gave Markle the name of her hairdresser at Hershesons in Knightsbridge. Markle’s fiancé Prince Harry is apparently very close to the designer’s husband, David Beckham, so the couple is expected to be on the guestlist for the royal wedding in May.

And Markle, who has worn trousers mostly on her official royal engagements, has already given Victoria Beckham’s fashion line a major sartorial shoutout. In her more casual engagement portrait, Markle wore a sweater from the line.

That sweater obviously promptly sold out, like most other clothes Markle wears.
