Kate Middleton has given birth to her third child, a baby boy. Kensington Palace announced the birth at 8 a.m. EST on Monday, writing, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

Middleton went into labor this morning, and we’re still waiting to hear what she and Prince William will name him. At this point, Middleton is resting in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, where she also gave birth to Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are expected to make their first appearance with their new baby boy shortly.
